About the role
The Head of Product Management will lead and develop a high-performing Product Management function, setting clear direction, building capability, and driving strong commercial outcomes across the portfolio. This role owns portfolio lifecycle management end-to-end and is accountable for coaching and empowering the team to deliver incremental growth and margin contribution.
Working closely with senior internal stakeholders and key vendor partners, the Head of Product Management will define and execute cohesive commercial strategies that connect individual portfolios, drive product adoption and refresh cycles, and maximise long-term value. As a senior commercial leader, this role ensures strong alignment across Commercial, Sales, Marketing, and Strategy, enabling disciplined execution and sustainable, profitable growth.
Key duties and responsibilities are:
- Develop and lead a team of commercially-driven Product Managers aligning them with overall portfolio and business objectives.
- Take commercial ownership of the product portfolio performance, including revenue targets, margin performance, forecasting and overall financial impact.
- Implement functional strategies to accelerate growth, optimise margins, and maximise commercial returns.
- Develop, curate and execute a growth strategy ensuring alignment with our GTM and Sales teams.
- Ensure consistency of positioning and delivery of product management activity into wider business.
- Report on portfolio performance, commercial impact, and strategic initiatives to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure timely updates and clear communication across the business regarding product strategy and outcomes.
- Leverage data and market insights to inform product decision, pricing model, and portfolio prioritisation strategies.
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle framework, including roadmap planning, product launches, positioning, pricing, refresh cycles, and end-of-life strategy.
- Build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with vendors, suppliers, and key external partners.
- Translate market insights into actionable plans to drive revenue growth and margin optimisation.
Education, Skills & Experience
- A strategic and commercial leader with the ability to define, articulate and execute a clear product and portfolio vision.
- Highly analytical, with strong capability to interpret complex data sets and translate insight into clear commercial actions.
- An effective people leader, with experience building, motivating and developing high-performing Product Management teams.
- A strong cross-functional collaborator, able to influence at senior levels and align stakeholders around common goals.
- Curious, commercially minded and entrepreneurial, with a proactive and creative approach to problem solving.
- Deep understanding of the UK IT channel, including vendor models, reseller dynamics and competitive landscape.
- A natural relationship builder, capable of establishing and sustaining long-term partnerships that deliver tangible business value.
- Proven experience in Product Management within an IT reseller, distributor or vendor-led environment, with senior-level responsibility.
