About the role
The Supply Chain Manager will build deeper, trusted, strategically aligned supply‑chain partnerships that strengthen commercial performance, enhance operational accountability, and improve commercial value delivery across Jigsaw24’s vendor and distributor ecosystem.
Key duties and responsibilities are:
Strategic Supplier Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key supply‑chain partners, ensuring alignment, proactive communication and trust.
- Build positive relationships with suppliers, strengthening mutual understanding and shared goals.
- Lead regular business reviews, monitor performance metrics and foster continuous improvement.
- Conduct RFQ/RFP activities to ensure fair, consistent and commercially robust supplier evaluation and selection.
Supplier Onboarding, Management & Governance
- Oversee supplier onboarding, offboarding and rationalisation.
- Manage supplier change and compliance.
- Handle supplier non‑conformance and coordinate resolution.
Internal procurement
- Lead and coordinate internal procurement processes to ensure timely, compliant and cost-effective sourcing of product and services.
- Develop and manage internal stakeholder relationships to ensure forecast demand and operational needs are met.
- Manage procurement templates, documentation, and operational tools updated to drive efficiency, accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Maintain and govern the approved supplier list, ensuring purchasing routes align with commercial policy, category strategy and contractual obligations.
Operational Excellence & Supply‑Chain Efficiency
- Develop sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Understand and analyze spend data and support operational improvements.
- Support service stock management and lead‑time optimisation.
Risk, Compliance & Performance Management
- Monitor and manage supplier risks.
- Manage non-conformities and ensure accountability pan partnership.
- Monitor and advise on credit line availability, including trends and pinch points.
- Ensure rebate agreements are in place, proactively maintained and valid.
Education, Skills & Experience
- Strong communication skills, able to gain commitment and buy-in to a common vision and clearly stated goals.
- A strategic thinker who can maximise opportunities through thoughtful and deliberate engagement methods.
- Present ability and track record of bringing passion, energy and motivation to a business.
- Robust operational and commercial supply chain experience and understanding of how to build successful strategies across multiple engagements.
- Collaborate effectively and to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Highly capable, with the ability to understand, assimilate and synthesise complex issues and translate them into actionable items.
- ‘Hands-on’ by nature, comfortable with diving into problems and developing new solutions.
- Strong commitment to delivering value to stakeholders, with a proactive approach to understanding business needs.
- Flexible, positive attitude, and able to adapt to the constantly evolving competitive landscape.
- Organises and clearly prioritises; unafraid to set an agenda or take the lead.
- Possesses the energy, passion, resilience and commitment required to realise goals.
- A record of delivering performance, and able to provide examples of solutions that have been delivered successfully.
