Head of Media Sales

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Head of Media Sales leader to drive the growth and success of our Media Sales team. This senior leadership role will be pivotal in scaling our Media and Entertainment (M&E) sales function, executing strategies, and ensuring we deliver exceptional value to our customers. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of building high-performing sales teams, driving revenue, and inspiring a culture of excellence.

Key duties and responsibilities are:

1. Strategy and Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive M&E sales strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor the M&E sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to ensure wider engagement with key customers and wider portfolio penetration.

2. Team Management: 

  • Build, scale, and manage a high-performing M&E sales organisation.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent while fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
  • Set performance goals and provide regular feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities.

3. Sales Operations:

  •  Define key performance metrics and drive accountability for the team’s performance.
  •  Collaborate with Sales Operations to optimise processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  •  Monitor pipeline health and forecast revenue with accuracy.

4. Customer Focus:

  • Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring our solutions deliver tangible business value.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, acting as an executive sponsor when needed.
  • Gather and utilise customer feedback to refine sales approaches and product offerings.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with Marketing to generate high-quality leads and improve demand generation strategies.
  • Work closely with product teams to ensure solutions meet the evolving needs of SMB customers.
  • Align with the Commercial team on pricing, forecasting, and budget management.

Education, Skills & Experience

Required:

  • 8+ years of sales leadership experience, with at least 4 years focused on M&E segments.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and scaling sales teams.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and drive decisions.
  • Expertise in sales methodologies, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and pipeline management.

  

Preferred:

  • Experience in the M&E industry, IT channel, SaaS, or IT services technology.
  • Strong understanding of M&E market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
